IBIC Group’s Frozen Green Peas are IQF processed from Egyptian sweet garden peas (Pisum sativum) — harvested at the precise window of optimum sweetness when the peas’ natural sugar content is highest and before the sugars begin converting to starch, which reduces sweetness and increases toughness. Harvested during Egypt’s cool winter growing season (October–April), the peas are shelled, sorted by size, blanched to fix vivid green colour and deactivate enzymes, and IQF frozen at -35°C within hours of harvest.

Green peas are among the most nutritionally significant vegetables available in frozen format: 5.4g of plant protein per 80g serving (making them the highest-protein standard frozen vegetable), 21% DV Vitamin C, significant folate content (18% DV), dietary fibre, and iron.
